The First Step is a fun-fill, age-appropriate introduction to school and learning.

Come join us for one-hour sessions with your grown-up and enjoy weekly themes with activities such as art, story time, movement, circle-time, specialized play centers, sensory exploration, snack, music and lots more!

Class is available Mondays or Fridays at 9:30am and 11:15am (approx. 12 – 24 Months)

Monday Dates: April 17 – June 12 (No Class May 29)

Friday Dates: April 21 – June 16 (No Class: May 26)

The First Step Teachers:

SARA ROSS, MS. ED

Sara is a child development and behavior specialist, with over 15 years of experience working with children and parents. Sara holds a Master’s in Education and New York State special and general ed. teaching credentials from Bank Street College of Education in New York, where she received extensive training in infant and parent development and early intervention. After teaching at some of the most highly- regarded pre-schools in Los Angeles and New York and working as a special educator for YAI (National Institute for People with Disabilities), Sara began her private practice as a parenting group leader, private tutor, consultant and special educator. And, as the mother of three children (ages 11, 9, and 5), Sara personally understands how to navigate the various challenges of parenting.

ALI ROSENZWEIG, MS. ED

Ali is an early-childhood educator with over 15 years of experience working with children and parents. Ali holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and New York state teaching credentials from Hunter College School of Education. After teaching at a private New York city nursery school and many years teaching kindergarten in a New York city public school, Ali began private tutoring and leading multiple local mommy and me playgroups. Ali is a mother of two children (ages 7 and 5) and loves working with children and parents, instilling her love of learning and promoting developmental milestones through play.
